"Oh it don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing"

I Know that from the title you think that I am going to be posting about swing dancing but you are wrong. I am talking about the normal old swing that goes "Up and down" "Back and Forth" Nothing special. But let me tell you there is something special. At least in my opinion. I enjoy swinging so much. Today I was on the swings for a half an hour straight just thinking. I am so grateful for the little things (like swings) in my life that make life so much more enjoyable. :)

Youth Conference with Brook

Yesterday was Brook's stakes Youth Conference. Oh My goodness it was so much fun! In the morning we did a service project. We had to rake a bunch of leaves and haul wood and stuff like that. Then Sister Golightly dropped me off at my house and I got ready in my church clothes. Then we went to a bunch of AMAZING classes and my favorite one was about marriage. Then we went to Brook's house and got ready for the Rodeo/Dance. At the rodeo they had a bunch of booths and fun things you can do and some yummy food. The best part was Melanie Merchant and Firefly PERFORMED! They were amazing, as usual! Then we left because Brook wasn't feeling good and we went back to Brook's house and watched Pride and Prejudice! It was SO much fun! Thank you so much Brook for making my day so WONDERFUL! :)

Family Portraits...

Lorri was nice enough to take these pictures of our family and I LOVE them! Thanks you so much Lorri! :)

A picture's worth a Thousand words...

If a Picture is worth a thousand words see if you can guess what this post is going to be about just by this picture.

Moving? Yep You guessed right. Our Family is moving to San Antonio Texas after Christmas. Oh yes I am DEFINITELY sad. I am going to miss you all so much and you have changed my life so much. I am so thankful for every single person I have met on this journey and I sure hope that we can keep in touch. I honestly feel like I am moving to the wilderness. There is a story about a young man who had to leave all of his belongings behind and travel to the wilderness bringing nothing but his family. He had to leave all of his Gold and his silver and his precious things and go to the wilderness. I know that I am still able to bring my precious things but my truly precious things are my house and friends and school and I am leaving all of them behind.
I feel like this is a new chapter in my life. But you know what? When we read a book the characters from the beginning chapters don't just disappear. So we will still stay in touch and still be friends and have great lives. :) I love you all and thank you so much for all of your inspiring things you do for me everyday. And guess what we still have time. Ten weeks to be exact. That means Ten weekends. :)

Emma, Try not to kill my dogs..

Oh how I love Emma! The movie and the friend. ;) Today Emma Fisher came over to my house and we has a BLAST. First we just kind of hung out and talked and laughed and took pictures. Then we went to this frozen Yogurt place which was DELICIOUS! And guess who we saw there? Colten Baker, Gunner Smith, and Fred Bryant! haha The funny thing was that last time Emma was here we went to Subway and they were there then too! :) Anyway after that we came back to my house and watched Emma! I absolutely LOVE this movie and was smiling the entire time. I really hope my Prince Charming behaves and is just as wonderful as Mr. Knightly.

"Happiness is Now"

(Ideas adapted form Lindsey Heywood's and Emma Fisher's blog)
I am often asked the Question: "Why are you so happy?" or the occasional comment, "You must have a great life because you are always so happy." and let me tell you this: (I guess me and Lindsey are a lot alike because she gets asked the same question) I am very happy and I do have a wonderful life but I have struggles just the same as anyone else. I often look into the mirror and wonder what I am good for. I often have bad days or step in gum or feel like no one likes me. I am just the same as anyone else. The only difference is that I choose to be happy. Happiness is a choice and once you decide to be happy then you can be just as positive as I am. I am not saying I am perfect. In fact I am just as far from perfect as anyone but life is so much more enjoyable when you live with a positive attitude. I promise you that everyone likes to hang out around positive people no matter what they say. I was reading on Emma's blog and she had this quote. "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." I LOVE it and I think it just may be my new favorite. (besides "Come what may and Love it") Nobody, I repeat nobody can ever make you sad or worth nothing or anything. It is your decision. Up to you. No matter what circumstances we are put in. We can choose to be happy. I was watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition last night and their was a family who had absolutely nothing. Nothing. Their House was falling apart and they had hardly any clothes or food or anything and they were still giving to others. I was amazed that they could do this when they had so little. Their family had chosen to be happy. They had nothing and yet they were happy. I am happy.

Coming along...

I am so excited. My room is finally coming along. This week I have been working on covering these bulletin boards. I don't have them hung up yet but this is how it turned out.
It was SUPER easy and took about one afternoon. The best part about it is that with the scraps I could make some toss pillows. :)
The pillows didn't turn out as cute as they were in my head but I think they are some what cute. Right? ;)

Inspiring Women...

"One cannot tamper with the divine spirit and precious body — the eternal soul — of another and be deemed as possessing any kind of virtue or be virtuous,"

Such a simple person and yet I look up to her so much. Her words each Conference inspire me and her smile is so heartwarming. I feel that she is the perfect General Young women President and is such an inspiring women. She has so much strength spiritually and physically and I am amazed at this. In conference she mentioned a time when she went backpacking with her daughter and she related this on a spiritual level. I was in awe.

Sister Hinckley is so wonderful. Every time I see her smiling face I can't help but smile. Her words inspire me. Even though I never knew Sister Hinckley I feel like I do because I love her so much. Whenever I hear a story about her or a quote from her I just can't help but smile.

"Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."

My mother is probably the most inspirational out of all of these women. She is always relating things to spirituality and you can find her EVERY morning pouring over the scriptures and really and truly feasting upon the words of Christ. She goes to the Temple at least once a week. She definitely has her priorities straight. Along with that she listens to the Holy Ghost and always has an inspiring story to tell me when I am in need of advice. My mother is so glorious and words truly can't describe how great she is. I love her with all of my heart and I hope that I can live up to be more like her.

"I am no spring Chicken"

Oh Lindsey. My Best Friend. I talk about her often but I don't think I could EVER talk about her too much. She is wonderful. I remember one night I was super tired and just wanted to go to bed and she handed me the Book of Mormon and asked me where I would like to start reading. I am amazed at her closeness to Heavenly Father and if you read her blog I am sure you know exactly what I mean. I love her so much and could never ask for a better sister.

"Oh they say when you marry in June."

"Just Blame it on the Cheese Crackers"

I am so thankful for all of the wonderful women that I am blessed with in my life Each Day I look up to these women and want to become more like them.

Happy Birthday Brook Dear!

Brook's Birthday was on October 13th. I feel so bad that I couldn't do anything for her birthday because she was in Utah bit I LOVE her so much. I admit in 8th Grade we weren't that close at least compared to how close we are this year. I am so greatful that she came to Perry with me and all of the memories we have made this year and last year. Brook is always been such a great friend to EVERYONE and never says anything mean about anyone. She lives the gospel and has the same standards as I do. I cannot tell you how blessed I am to have her inspiring me each Day. We have zero hour together and each day when I walk in she greets me with a smile. I just want to let everyone know how wonderful she is and if you don't know her you should Definately make an effort to be her friend because she is AMAZING!

Prince Charming

I was challenged. I was challenged to make a list of the qualities I want in a husband. I have decided to fulfill this challenge on my blog where everyone can see them. I challenge all of you to make a list of what you look for in a husband or a wife. This list does not have to be long but I wass promised that if I write it down then it will surely happen. My prince Charming is going to be wonderful but I am still looking for him. I am asked many times "How come you NEVER like anyone?" and here is myanswer, I have high standards and I haven't found the guy that meets them.. Yet. I am surely hoping that I will but until then I just have to prepare myself to be the best mother and wife that I could ever be. Here is the list.
-My Best Friend
-Gentlemen
-Lives and loves the gospel
-Treats everyone with respect
-Tries his best to become like Jesus
-Honest with himself, Heavenly Father and others
-Knows how to have fun
-Knows how to make me laugh
-Truly Loves me
-Humble
-Tells me everything and their are no secrets
-Return Missionary
-Priesthood Holder
-Large in Stature
-Loves kids
-Hard worker
-Always Tries to Choose the Right
-Musical
-Sincerely Happy and smiles a lot
-Friendly
-Teaches me things
-Gentle
-Provides
I honestly think that this is the ideal Prince Charming and when he comes along I hope I will be ready for him. Another thing that we were chalenged to do is to try to complete the same things in ourselves. Some we will not be able to do, like gentlemen or Priestoodholder but the ones that we can do we should strive to do. I hope that you will each take this same challenge and I will enjoy reading your different qualities.

"Oh a Camping we will go"

You can hardly call this camping. I think that I am practically the luckiest person alive. Our family was invited by our good friends the Andersen's to go up with them to this luxurious cabin. It is so nice and absolutely beautiful. There was so many things to do there.

Horseback riding...

Picnics...
Balloon Relay races...

Playing Games...
Moth catching...

Birthdays...
Fall leaves...

Or just Hanging out...

All in all this was a great vacation. Minus a couple f Minor injuries (Ben falling off a bike and getting 6 stitches in his arm.) It was a wonderful vacation spent with great friends and great memories were made.
