Swim Team

Ben and Daniel started doing swim team this summer at Perry High School. This is the first time they have ever done it and I must say that they are pretty good for first timers. It is definately good practice for both of them to learn that it isn't always about winning... They have it every morning at 6:30 and then they have meets on Saturday mornings... I think they have only been to two of the meets but they did pretty well getting 7th place out of eight swimmers. :) I was quite proud of them for being good sports and working hard.

Girls Camp 2009

This past week I have been at my 3rd year of Girls Camp. It was so much fun. Our ward had no drama which is always so great. We got to Long Valley Camp on Tuesday at about Lunch time and we stayed there until this morning (Saturday) I got home just about an hour ago and took a shower and ate a Banana. Now I am planning to go take a nap. I am so glad that I was able to go and I hope that all of you who haven't gone or choose not to go... will Change there minds... because it is DEFINITELY worth the no Shower thing.

Worlds Greatest Dad

This Picture doesn't really give my Dad justice but it was the only one I could find of just him. I have the most wonderful Dad that anybody could ask for. As you know Today was Father's Day and my Mom was sick. When I woke up my sweet daddy was making breakfast for all of us kids and when I asked if I could help he said that I could go ask what my Mom wanted for Breakfast. He wasn't concerned at all about himself and was only concerned about others. This really stood out to me today and I don't know why it never stood out to me before but he is so self giving and so unselfish only worrying about others. This continued all day long when he helped me get ready for camp, volunteered to do someones taxes for free, and took all the kids to church without my mom. Even when Michael was being a stinker at church my dad was able to stay calm and Patient. I am so thankful for this amazing Daddy and I don't know what I would do without him.

Especially For Youth

I went to EFY this past week and Oh my Goodness it was the most wonderful spiritual time I have had in a long long time! I met so many people and did so many fun things and learned so much. So the first Day we got there at like 2:00 pm and checked in and set up our rooms. Then we met with the girls of our company (group that we did everything with) and then met with our entire company. Then we had Orientation and FHE. We played this really fun game called the Aunt Eater Game where there would be 2 ant eaters and you would have to run to the other side without getting "Eaten" It was so much fun! Then we went back to our rooms for devotional and Journal time. Then on Tuesday we had our Gospel Study and Morning side. Then we had some Classes which were amazing! They made me understand the gospel in a whole different light! It was so coo. Then I had practice for the Musical Program. After that we had Dance Instruction and I danced with Tyler for that. It was so funny since he was so short! :) Haha. Then we had our actual Dance which was a BLAST! Awww... I had so much fun! Then we went Back to our dorms for Devotional and Journal time and all of that. Then on Wednesday we had Gospel Study Morning side and Classes again. Wich were AMAZING as they were before! Then we made up a cheer for our Company name which was sincere Hearts and made a banner. We then had our cheer off and we won 3rd place! So we had to perform it in front of the entire EFY session. It was quite embarrassing! :) Then we had Pizza night at like... 9:00 and we ate a TON... it was so very yummy! Then we had our devotional and Journal time and went to bed. Then on Thursday we had to wear our church clothes all day. We had our Gospel study and Morning side and then we had the variety show which was like a talent Show. After that we had the Musical Program that we had been Practicing for all week. Then we had Testimony meeting and then Journal time and devotional. Friday was my last and favorite day (except the dance) Even though I wasn't feeling very good... I got a headache and was feeling a little sleep deprived. We had a Strength of Youth Activity where we all met in the Gym and all the councilors were holding up signs that said one of the topics in the Strength of Youth Pamphlet and we would pick one and they would talk about it. Then we had our service activity where we colored these Hot wheels car mats to give to poor kids who didn't have any toys to play with. Then we had the Best dress dance which I wasn't feeling good and it just wasn't that great. Then we had this slide show of the pictures of the week and a devotional and then pictures and everybody gave hugs and cried and all that! Oh goodness it was so wonderful!

Good Times...

Life is just full of those happy or funny moments. Like today Emma comes downstairs and says to my mom... "Mom, sometimes I just get this feeling that I can fly" My mom of course answers... "Really? would you show me?" (While the rest of us are sitting there cracking up) Emma says " "No Mom, silly, I can't REALLY fly..." Haha. Oh those sweet Memories... Those 5 year olds sure know how to make you smile! :)

On Wednesday was our last day of school! This was definately a bittersweet moment for all of us because unlike last year a lot of my friends I may never see again or at least not as often! I must tell you how thankful I am for such wonderful friends. I hope that everyone has found as good of friends as I have! :)
